1. Types of Data collected

Among types of Personal Data that Setly collects are: your name, e-mail address, phone number, physical address, bank account, personal number and links to your account with us, camera permission and image transfer to the Applications and other relevant information. As an accounting company that adheres strictly to the law, Setly needs to know who you are, for legal-related reasons.

 

Other Personal Data collected may be described in other sections of this privacy policy or by express request from the Data Controller.

 

The Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or collected automatically when using the Setly Application.

 

1.1. Cookie policy Any use of Cookies – or other tracking tools – by Setly’s systems or Applications or by the owners of third-party services used by Setly, unless stated otherwise, serves to provide, improve, protect and market its services.

 

You can set your browser to deny the use of cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the services and have a full experience of Setly’s customer-oriented services.

 

Failure to provide certain Personal Data may result in the impossibility for Setly’s systems and Applications to provide its services.

 

Also, Setly collects information from and about the devices you use to access its services. This includes, for example, IP address, type of browser and the type of device you are using.

 

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), Setly will not sell information it collects to advertisers or third parties.

 

1.2. Third-Party Data

Users are responsible for any Personal Data of third parties obtained, published or shared through Setly’s systems and Applications, and confirm that they have the third party’s consent to provide the Data to Setly.

 

Your employer may have access to and may check your activities related to Setly and its systems. See your employer’s internal policies if you have questions regarding this matter.

 

2. Mode and place of processing the Data

Setly is a group of companies based in Sweden with various locations within the European Union. This helps us improve our services.

 

For that to happen, other affiliates in the Setly group may have access to your information only to perform individual functions on Setly’s behalf and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

 

2.1. Methods of processing

As Data Controller, Setly processes the Data of Users in a proper manner and shall take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or unauthorized destruction of the Data.

 

The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge involved with the operation of the site (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Data Controller at any time.

 

2.2. Place

The Data is processed at Setly’s operating offices and in any other place where the parties involved with the processing are located. When you use Setly’s services, processes, applications etc., Setly might transfer your files and information to other companies within the Setly group.

 

To provide you with services, Setly may store, process and transmit information in different locations within the European Union. Information may also be stored locally on the devices you use to access Setly’s services.

3. Data retention time

The Data is kept for the time necessary to provide the service requested by the User, or stated by the purposes outlined in this document, and the User can always request that the Data Controller suspend or remove the Data.

 

Setly will preserve the information that you store on its serversfor as long as it needs to provide you with service. If you are no longer a customer, Setly will delete this information when possible. Please note:

a) there may be a delay when deleting information from Setly’s servers and stored backups;

b) Setly can retain this information as necessary to fulfill its legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce mutual agreements.

 

4. The use of the collected Data

The Data concerning the User is collected to allow the Owner to provide its services.

 

The Personal Data used for each purpose is outlined in the specific sections of this document.

 

4.1. Device permissions for Personal Data access

The Setly systems and Applications request certain permissions from Users that allow them to access the User’s device Data as described above.

 

By default, these permissions must be granted by the User before the respective information can be accessed. Once the permission has been given, it can be revoked by the User at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, Users may refer to the device settings or contact the Owner for support.

 

The exact procedure for controlling permissions may depend on the User’s device and software.

 

Please note that revoking such permissions might impact the proper functioning of Setly’s Systems and Applications.

 

If the User grants any of the permissions requested, the respective Personal Data may be processed (i.e. accessed, modified or removed) by Setly.

 

4.2. Camera permission

Used for accessing the camera or capturing images and video from the device.

 

5. Legal action

The User’s Personal Data may be used for legal purposes by Setly, in Court or in stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of Setly’s systems and Applications or related services. The User declares to be aware that Setly may be required to reveal personal data upon request of public authorities.

 

Setly may disclose User’s information to third parties where it determines that such disclosure is necessary to:

a) comply with the law,

b) protect a person from death or serious bodily injury,

c) prevent fraud or misuse of Setly and Setly’s users’ Data,

d) protect Setly ownership.

 

6. Additional information about User’s Personal Data

In addition to the information contained in this privacy policy, the Setly systems and Applications may provide the User with additional and contextual information concerning particularservices or the collection and processing of Personal Data upon request.

 

If Setly is involved in a reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of the deal. Setly will notify the User of such an action (for example, through a message to the email address associated with your account) and explain the User’s choice as need may arise.

 

7. System logs and maintenance

For operation and maintenance purposes, the Setly systems and Applications and any third-party services relevant to them may collect files that record interaction (System Logs) or use for this purpose other Personal Data (such as IP Address).

 

8. The rights of Users

Users have the right, at any time, to know whether their Personal Data has been stored and can consult Setly to learn about their contents and origin, to verify their accuracy or to ask for their update. Requests should be sent to Setly at the designated address provided in the contact information at the beginning of this document.

 

Setly systems and Applications DO NOT support “Do Not Track” requests. To determine whether any of the third-party services it uses honor the “Do Not Track” requests, please read their privacy policies.

 

9. Changes to this privacy policy

Setly reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by giving notice to its Users on this page. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom. If a User objects to any of the changes to the Policy, the User must cease using the Setly systems and Applications and can request that the Data Controller remove the Personal Data. Unless stated otherwise, the then-current privacy policy applies to all Personal Data the Data Controller has about Users.
